HubSpot March 2026 Updates: Canva Integration, ChatGPT CRM & Automation

Written by Glenn Miller | 12 March 2026

HubSpot’s March 2026 updates focus on making everyday work faster by reducing manual effort and improving how tools connect across your marketing, sales, and content workflows.

From a full Canva design experience directly inside HubSpot to CRM updates powered through ChatGPT, these changes continue HubSpot’s shift toward practical AI and smoother integrations. Several improvements also strengthen automation, app management, video editing, and website personalisation, giving teams better control without adding complexity.

Below are Lupo Digital’s key takeaways from the March releases.

Lupo’s Top Picks

1. Access Canva’s Complete Design Experience with the Improved Canva App for HubSpot

What is it?
The Canva app for HubSpot now includes a full-featured editing experience directly inside Canva. Users can access Canva’s AI-powered design tools to create visual assets and then send them back to HubSpot for distribution and campaign measurement.

The updated integration also unlocks additional Canva capabilities including Brand Kits, collaboration tools, expanded upload options, AI image and video generation, design recommendations via Ask Canva, and quick action shortcuts.

How does it work?

To connect the Canva app:

  1. Open a HubSpot editor where you want to add a design (for example, an email header).

  2. Click the image and select Replace.

  3. In the right panel, select Upload → Design with Canva.

  4. Log in to your Canva account to connect it with HubSpot.

Once connected, clicking Design with Canva opens the Canva editor. After completing your design, select Return to HubSpot to send the asset back into your HubSpot file manager.

Who gets it?
The Canva app for HubSpot is available for all HubSpot users and Canva customers to install.

2. Take Action with ChatGPT: Update CRM Records & Access More Objects and Engagements

What is it?
The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT now supports creating and updating CRM records directly from the chat interface. Users can create contacts, update deals, log tasks, or add notes without leaving the conversation.

The connector also allows ChatGPT to access additional CRM objects and engagement data such as products, line items, invoices, orders, lists, calls, meetings, emails, tasks, and notes.

Why does it matter?
This update turns ChatGPT into an operational assistant that can interact directly with your CRM.

Instead of copying insights from ChatGPT into HubSpot manually, users can now update records, log activities, and analyse customer conversations in real time. This reduces manual work while enabling faster decisions based on real CRM data.

How does it work?

To use these capabilities:

  1. Install or upgrade the HubSpot connector within ChatGPT

  2. A ChatGPT workspace admin must enable the updated HubSpot app.

  3. Users can upgrade the connector inside Settings → Apps → HubSpot.

Once connected, users can execute prompts such as:

  • Create a new contact with an email address

  • Update a deal stage

  • Log notes from a discovery call

  • Create follow-up tasks for prospects

Who gets it?
The HubSpot connector for ChatGPT is available for all HubSpot customers using an OpenAI account.

3. New Actions and Limits Added to Forms Simple Workflows

What is it?
Forms Simple Workflows now allow up to three automation actions instead of just one for accounts without Marketing Hub. For portals with Marketing Hub, the limit remains at ten actions.

Why does it matter?
Previously, forms automation was extremely limited for users without advanced workflow tools. With three available actions, teams can now automate multiple steps after a form submission without requiring a full workflow builder.

This reduces manual follow-ups and improves how businesses respond to new leads or inquiries.

How does it work?
To use this update:

  1. Navigate to a form inside HubSpot.

  2. Open the Automate tab.

  3. Create or edit a workflow.

  4. Add up to three actions such as sending an email, creating a task, or updating a CRM property.

Who gets it?

4. Ask Breeze Assistant About App Listing Performance

What is it?
HubSpot Breeze Assistant can now analyse performance metrics for HubSpot Marketplace app listings.
Users can ask natural language questions about listing analytics and receive data-driven responses instantly.

Why does it matter?
Marketplace app owners previously needed to manually filter reports and interpret multiple metrics to understand listing performance.

With Breeze Assistant, users can simply ask questions about traffic sources, search visibility, or listing performance trends and receive immediate insights.

How does it work?
To access this feature:

  1. Navigate to your HubSpot Marketplace app listing.

  2. Open Marketplace Analytics.

  3. Click Ask Breeze Assistant.

  4. Enter questions about listing performance.

5. Connected Apps: New Connections Home & Connection Insights

What is it?
HubSpot has introduced Connections Home, a centralised dashboard for managing integrations and connected applications.
The update also introduces Connection Insights, which provides detailed analytics on app activity, API usage, and how integrations interact with CRM data.

Why does it matter?
Managing multiple integrations often creates visibility issues across marketing and sales tools. This update centralises integration monitoring so teams can quickly identify issues, track activity, and manage connections more effectively.

It also helps prevent disruptions caused by expired connections or API limits.

How does it work?
Navigate to:
From here you can access:

  • Apps requiring attention

  • All connected apps

  • Apps installed by other users in your organisation

  • API usage insights

  • Record interaction analytics

Who gets it?
Available across all hubs and tiers.

6. Identify “Meta” as Paid Social Traffic

What is it?
HubSpot now categorises traffic with the UTM source Meta as Paid Social in traffic analytics reports.
Previously, this traffic was grouped under “Other”.

Why does it matter?
Meta is a major advertising channel. Correct categorisation ensures that traffic from Meta ads is accurately reflected in your marketing analytics.

This provides clearer insight into the performance of social advertising campaigns.

How does it work?
HubSpot automatically categorises traffic based on UTM parameters. After this update, any visit with utm_source=meta will automatically appear under Paid Social in traffic analytics.

This change applies only to new traffic moving forward.

 Who gets it?
Available across all hubs and tiers.

7. Breeze Assistant Prompts Reimagined

What is it?
Breeze Assistant now includes a redesigned prompt experience featuring @mentions for CRM objects, a saved prompt library, reusable templates, and categorised prompt suggestions.

Users can also organise prompts using tags and assign them to specific assistants.

Why does it matter?
Users often spend time rewriting effective prompts repeatedly. This update makes it easier to reuse successful prompts and discover new AI capabilities through built-in suggestions.

It improves productivity while helping teams standardise AI usage across departments.

How does it work?
Key features include:

  • @Mentions to reference CRM records

  • Saved Prompt Library for reusable prompt templates

  • Prompt suggestion categories such as Summarise, Create, How Do I, and Prepare

  • Editable templates with placeholders for CRM data

8. Video Editor UX Improvements

What is it?
HubSpot has introduced several usability improvements to the video editor, making it easier to edit transcripts, manage overlays, and adjust media directly from the timeline.

Why does it matter?
Video editing often requires fast iteration. These updates reduce friction by improving timeline controls, transcript editing, captions management, and media handling.
Content teams can now edit videos faster without needing advanced editing skills.

How does it work?
To access the video editor:

  1. Navigate to Content → Video.

  2. Hover over a video in your library.

  3. Click the Edit icon.

The editor now includes improved timeline scrubbing, overlay placement tools, caption management, and asset panels.

9. Personalisation App Supports Website Pages

What is it?
The new Personalisation app now supports website pages, allowing marketers to create audience-specific versions of pages using Variants without duplicating pages.

Why does it matter?
Personalising websites at scale has traditionally been complex. Managing multiple versions of pages often results in duplication, inconsistencies, and poor performance tracking.

Variants allow teams to manage all personalised experiences in one place while measuring performance across audiences.

How does it work?
Open Marketing → Personalisation.
Create variants for a website page.
Configure segments manually or with AI assistance.
Track performance through the Analyse tab.
