This month’s HubSpot updates are all about refining how teams work. April brings thoughtful enhancements that make everyday actions - like merging records, managing content, or configuring CRM cards - simpler and more powerful.
From content teams to CRM admins, there’s something for everyone in this month’s rollout. These updates won’t just save time - they’ll make HubSpot easier to manage and even more useful as your central growth platform.
Let’s dive into what’s new 👇
Lupo’s Top Picks
1. Live CRM Card Preview While Editing
Say goodbye to guesswork when customising CRM cards.
HubSpot now gives you a real-time preview of the card you're editing—right within the card editor. This means as you add, remove, or re-order fields, you see exactly how the card will appear to users.
Why it matters:
- You no longer need to click “Preview” or exit to view changes
- You can build and refine cards with immediate feedback
- It saves time, reduces clicks, and speeds up configuration
Whether you're cleaning up views for your sales reps or setting up a new record layout for your CS team, this update helps you get it right—faster.
2. The New Content Remix Homepage
Content Remix isn’t just about repurposing content anymore—it’s becoming a full-blown content operations hub.
The redesigned Remix homepage helps you keep track of your content work with:
- Recent Remixes – jump back into your latest projects
- Saved Templates – access and reuse your most common formats
- Quick Remix Options – start new remixes faster, right from the homepage
You can also now manage and sort your templates, or clean up unused remixes with ease. This is especially useful for larger teams using Remix at scale.
3. Choose What Data Wins When Merging Records
Merging duplicate records used to be a bit of a black box.
Now, you get to decide exactly which properties are retained on the final merged record.
When you merge, a side-by-side view lets you:
- Review all properties on both records
- Select which version of each property to keep
- Finalise your merged record with full control
This ensures better data quality and makes merging a more confident, accurate process—whether you’re cleaning up contact records or consolidating company entries.
Featured Live Updates
New: Edit Associations Permission
Admins can now control who can add, edit, or remove record associations—across all objects.
In the past, users with view-only access could still create associations, which often led to inconsistencies. With this update:
- Admins can now lock down association access
- You can prevent users from linking records if they don’t have edit rights
- Association editing can be toggled on/off as needed per user or team
This is a major win for CRM data integrity, especially in larger, distributed teams.
Clarified Rules for Email Allow/Deny Lists
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when the same domain or email address appears on both the Allow and Deny list—HubSpot now has a clear answer.
Here’s how it works:
- A specific email address overrides a domain
- The Allow List takes priority if the same address/domain is on both lists
This means you now have more predictable control over which senders are permitted, which helps maintain clean communication channels and reduce manual email handling.
Survey Object Now Called “Survey Response”
The object formerly known as “feedback submission” is now officially called Survey Response across the HubSpot Feedback tool.
Why this change matters:
- It reflects industry-standard language
- It removes confusion across workflows, reports, and property names
- It prepares the Feedback tool to support non-survey sources in the future
If you’re using this object in custom properties, workflows, or external systems, now’s the time to update your references to align with the new label.
Merge with Confidence (Yes, Again)
We’re highlighting the Merge feature again—because it’s that impactful.
Now, when you merge records:
- You see both entries side by side
- You choose which version of each field to keep
- You end up with one clean, high-quality record
Whether you're working on contacts, companies, deals, or tickets—this level of control is critical to maintaining data quality across your CRM.
